From Kaliningrad to Lithuania

During the program you will visit the Königsberg Cathedral, where the Russia’s largest organ is located and Immanuel Kant is buried. You will also visit the Amber Museum located in the former fortification structure and the unique World Ocean Museum.

From Kaliningrad to Lithuania (7 days/6 nights)

The program starts with arrival in Kaliningrad and checking-in to the hotel. Then you will discover Könisberg/Kaliningrad and get to know its 7 centuries old history. During the program you will visit the Königsberg Cathedral, where the Russia’s largest organ is located and Immanuel Kant is buried. You will also visit the Amber Museum located in former fortification structure, and the unique World Ocean Museum. In the afternoon will take an exciting river cruise on the Sambia ship up and down the Pregola river.

On the next day you will take a trip to Samland, to the settlement of Yantarny. It is here that 90% of the world reserves of amber are concentrated. Lunch in luxury five-star hotel Schloss.

Then you will go Svetlogorsk (Rauschen), the history of which dates back to 1237. In the 18th century it was the major resort for Germany aristocrats.

The program will then take you to the area where birds and sands reign. Here, you will visit the oldest bird observatory in Europe, take the hiking route called the Height of Eff, visit the mysterious Dancing Forest, and after crossing the border you will find yourself in the Lithunian part of the Curonian Spit – in Nida.

Nida is known for its Curonian “chalets” that are distinguished for their special, like no other style and architecture. Here you will have dinner in one of the fish restaurants and will taste local fish delicacies.

The next day will be spent in Nida, where you will have an opportunity to go cycling or hiking down the settlement or along the sand dunes, learn about life and work of Thomas Mann. Then you will take a motorboat trip to the settlement of Minija known as the Venice of Lithuania. It is an ethnographic village with the Minija river as its only street and boats as the only means of transportation.

Then you will move, through the fishing villages, to the third largest Lithuanian city – Klaipeda (Memel). Klaipeda is the city of sailors, shipbuilders and fishermen.

Then you have Kaunas, the second largest city of Lithuania, and Trakai, the only place in the Eastern Europe with castle built on the water, are waiting for you.

The last day of the program will be devoted
to Vilnius – the city of vibrant cultural and night life that always has something to offer and to surprise you with.

Day 1

Arrival in Kaliningrad. Sightseeing in the city. River cruise.

Day 2

Visiting the settlement of Yantarny. Sightseeing in Svetlogorsk.

Day 3

Visiting the Curonian Spit. One night stay in Nida.

Day 4

Relaxation in Nida. Trip to Minija.

Day 5

Transfer to Klaipeda. Sightseeing tour. Transfer to Kaunas. One night stay in Kaunas.

Day 6

Sightseeing tour in Kaunas. Visiting Trakai. Transfer to Vilnius.

Day 7

Sightseeing tour in the Old Town of Vilnius. Departure.
