From Kaliningrad to masterpieces of Warmia

Kaliningrad – Svetlogorsk – Masurian Lakeland – Gdansk – Sopot – Kaliningrad

The program starts with sightseeing tour in Kaliningrad.

On the next day you will visit the Friedland Gate Museum, Amber Museum, World Ocean Museum as part of your sightseeing program. After lunch you will take a trip to Svetlogorsk that holds fascination of a German resort town for tourists and residents.

Then you will leave the Kaliningrad Region for Poland, in particular for the Masurian Lakeland. On your way you will visit the village of Święta Lipka, where the Jesuit monastic complex is located, and Wolf’s Lair (Wolfsschanze), the former Adolf Hitler’s headquarters in East Prussia. One night stay in Hotel Zamek Ryn or one of the hotels of the resort of Mikolajki.

On the next day you will go kayaking down the Krutynia Trail – one of the most picturesque water routes in Europe. The Masurian Lakeland is a mecca for water sports enthusiasts. Kayaking routes go through the dozens of lakes that are connected with each other by rivers and canals. During the kayaking you will be offered an open-air picnic.

After enjoying the kayaking and feasting your eyes on beautiful scenery, you will head for Gdansk, one of the Hanseatic cities. This city with thousand-year history was one of the major mercantile ports on the Baltic Sea. Today “greater Gdansk” consist of three cities, in particular of historical Gdansk, resort of Sopot and cultural Gdynia. Each of those three cities has its own stories to tell and show you during your sightseeing tour in Tricity.

The last days of the program in Poland will be devoted to Malbork, the ancient capital of the Teutonic order where the world’s largest Gothic brick castle complex is located. You will also visit Frombork where Nicolaus Copernicus lived and worked for many years. The program ends in Kaliningrad.

Day 1

Arrival in Kaliningrad. Sightseeing tour in the city. Organ concert in the Cathedral.

Day 2

Sightseeing tour in the city. Trip to Svetlogorsk.

Day 3

Transfer to Poland. Visiting Święta Lipka and “Wolf’s Lair”. Night stay in a hotel.

Day 4

Kayaking down the Krutynia river. Transfer to Gdansk. Night stay in a hotel.

Day 5

Sightseeing in Tricity.

Day 6

Leisure time in the resort of Sopot.

Day 7

Visiting the Malbork Castle and town of Frombork. Transfer to Kaliningrad. Sightseeing in Kaliningrad.

Day 8

Departure.
